Things to do in Thredbo

There is no other place like Thredbo Village. Now a year-round resort, here are some of the things you can enjoy during your stay at Talara.

Winter

Thredbo has some of the longest top-to-bottom ski runs in Australia, and caters to all snow activities including skiing, snowboarding, cross-country, tobogganing and of course, apres-skiing!

With the help of snow-making facilities, Thredbo's ski season generally lasts from June until early October.

After a hard day's skiing, you can warm yourself in Thredbo's great restaurants, bars and bistros.

Summer

Thredbo is as well known now for its summer activities as its winter skiing.

From Thredbo, you can start a gentle walk to the highest point in Australia, Mount Kosciuszko, or tackle other more bracing mountain walks.

You can enjoy golfing, tennis, swimming at the AIS centre, and for the more adventurous, mountain-biking, horse riding and the bobsled.

How about a swim in a mountain stream, cricket on the green, a BBQ by the river and wombat watching as the moon rises, for another stunning evening?
